Descendants of Peter POPE (1770-1843)

Notes

1. Peter POPE

Birthdates of all of Peter Pope's children and information about his first marriage came from a family Bible, reported at one time to be in the possession of Clara Whitaker of Lexington, Kentucky.

The occasional spelling of Peter Pope's name in early records as Poop, as well as some family tradition, suggests that he may have been of German descent.
