THE HOLLYMAN FAMILY by George A. Holleman, 1952, gives Johnston Holleman's birth date as 3 Nov 1833, but his brother Alfred was born just 4 months later than that (3 Mar 1834).
According to Lucile (HOLLEMAN) Lowder (now deceased), the three girls in the photos were sisters of her father, Russell Q. HOLLEMAN. However, it is not known which photo is of which sister: Georgia Rebecca, Virginia L., Rosetta J., or Josephine.

"Mr. J.S. HOLLOMAN died at his home, No. 318 Fifth street, at 9:30 o'clock this morning after an illness of nine weeks from paralysis. He was 72 years old and was born in North Carolina, was a Confederate veteran, enlisting in Mississippi at the outbreak of the war and was afterwards transferred to an Alabama regiment. He had been in bad health for the past four years and was stricken with paralysis about nine weeks ago, from which he never recovered. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, messrs. R.L., R.Q. and R.O. HOLLOMAN, and four daughters, Mrs. Georgia Conti of Chicago, and Mrs. F.L. VanHouten, Mrs. W.T. Portman and Mrs. James Pace of Columbus. The funeral will take place from the house tomorrow, at an hour to be set. The interment will be at Linwood Cemetery."
