Louantha D. STURGES
Mrs. Lucile (Holleman) Lowder (now deceased), granddaughter of George Morehouse STURGES, reported that most of George's siblings married Dunn brothers and sisters. It is known that two of George's siblings married children of Henry and Elizabeth Dunn (who were all listed in the 1860 Muscogee County, GA, Census, p. 371), so it seems likely that James Dunn (born September 1853) in the 1900 Brazoria County, TX, Census is the same person as 27-year-old J.R.D. Dunn in the 1880 Panola County, MS, Census, and 8-year-old James Dunn in the 1860 Muscogee County Census. This information has now (May 2013) been confirmed by Larry Gordon (lagordo at rocketmail dot com), a descendant of George Henry Wilson and Audie Viola Dunn.
